the whole shebang consists of smaller shebangs that learn to collect and go together. this is as it should be. poetry creates things produced from scratch. that scratch can take many forms but the point is: the itch needs attention. a lot of people are dour, nowadays, and the whole poetry thing is shady, flimsy, wanton retrograde at best. we might want to discuss other possibilities, although the same words will have to be used. perhaps shebang doesn’t say it all.
