   As if my poems were in your mouth
            like a sandwich we made
       

                   if the water wine
                            and your hips were songs

                                                    
                      How could I forget the love we made   
                                  asking how you could forget

these lines changed

    with love like a sandwich we made


    if the water was wine



Actually the whole thing changed,

esp. after you the song in half tones,

 measuring the bars by cluttering spaces between the words,

  then the guitars, strolling , the stand up bass, and the cellist, Sheila,
  doing their part holding everything together
