Thwarted lungs
clotted throat
stranglehold
breathstrokes
i burst
into
word-splinters
to ellipse you

Averted runnels ramble underskin
submerging severing we
hurl at
breakwater
bury breastbones
gush into
self-eclipses
word-errants
in veins of air
rush in pulses
These gusts unspare
your frozen skin
